Secondary Teaching Assistant job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as part of a welcoming, talented and highly motivated team at Wren Academy Finchley. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Secondary Teaching Assistant to support teaching and learning across the school. Working closely with teachers and pastoral staff, you will help students access the curriculum, manage behaviour positively, and develop both academically and socially. The role involves supporting individuals and small groups, assisting in the classroom, and contributing to a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about education and supporting young people at secondary school level. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, a keen desire to learn and the ability to be part of a team.

Wren Academy Finchley opened in September 2008 as a new school sponsored by the London Diocesan Board for Schools and Berkhamsted School. The Academy has continued to grow as we opened our Sixth form in 2013 and have taken on new primary cohorts since 2015.
