Are you passionate about supporting children with SEMH needs?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Outreach worker at our Outreach provision at The Bridge in Maidenhall School.
Do you strongly understand that?
All behaviour is a form of communication
Relationships are the key to high quality learning
Every child deserves the chance to succeed
This role will give you the opportunity to help drive real change and give children with SEMH needs the opportunity to thrive, the support to help shape their future and the tools to reach their true potential.
We can offer:
A supportive and friendly team who care about the children and adults alike
A well-resourced setting and the chance to grow and develop your SEMH teaching
Opportunities to grow your knowledge with an experienced team and access to your training needs
The chance to have meaningful impact on the lives of children in Luton
This job is perfect for a candidate who:
Wants to grow their experience in an area that will have a positive long-term impact for Luton and its children
Wants to build their experience and opportunities in working with pupils and professionals around the area of SEMH
Whether you are an experienced SEMH Teaching assistant, professional or keen to follow your passion for working with children with SEMH needs, we are looking for a person who is:
Able to be reflective and adaptive
A good communicator with all stakeholders
Dedicated to supporting pupils with SEMH needs
Experienced in the tools and strategies used to support pupils with SEMH needs
We are looking to recruit an Outreach worker to work with children, key adults and school leaders to support schools in meeting the SEMH needs of their pupils.
The Bridge, based at Maidenhall Primary School, forms part of Luton’s Primary SEMH Service. The overarching intention of the Primary SEMH Service is to provide outreach support and early intervention to schools through guiding, advising and modelling approaches that manage the needs of children with SEMH difficulties within their existing school. The fostering of Therapeutic Thinking as an approach to creating a culture shift in managing and meeting the needs of children is central to the service.
Where outreach support at tier 1 is not able to meet needs, pupils may be offered tier 2 short-term placements within The Bridge.
We welcome visits to our school and service to meet with our Lead Practitioner and The Bridge team to understand and gain insight into our vision, values and pupil pathway and to truly understand the impact you can have for our pupils.
