SEMH Resource Base Teacher - Westcliff Primary Academy job summary
Teacher required from January 2022 for Resource Base at Westcliff Primary Academy working with children with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs and the resultant behavioural difficulties.

We are looking for somebody who has the ability to: -
Work with children with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs and the resultant behavioural difficulties, in order to help them overcome the difficulties they are experiencing in their education. -
Raise standards of SEMH learners’ achievements using a range of teaching strategies, in line with the school’s policies and procedures.
Take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the provision made by the resource base for pupils with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs; and the responsibility as the teacher of the SEMH Provision at Westcliff Primary Academy.
Set the ethos of the SEMH Provision, in collaboration with the Head of School for Westcliff Primary Academy and the Trust leader for the resource base.
Work with other members of staff employed within the SEMH Provision to maintain high standards and ensuring consistency.
Hold high aspirations for all children and ensure that all learners’ needs are met in line with the statutory requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework and National Curriculum, as appropriate. Employee benefits.

Our school will be opening a six place SEMH Resource Provision on 5th January 2022. This provision will provide a more inclusive offer for primary aged pupils with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs in Devon - giving them the opportunity, in time, to reintegrate into their own schools.
This post is offered on a fixed term basis for 2 years initially and thereafter is dependent on funding.
