SEN Administrator job summary
Are you an organised, proactive and detail-oriented administrator with a passion for supporting young people to achieve their potential? We are seeking a dedicated SEN Administrator to join our team and play a vital role in supporting the effective delivery of our Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) provision.
As SEN Administrator, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing a wide range of SEND administration processes, including statutory requirements, Annual Reviews, student records, Learning Support Assistant (LSA) deployment timetabling and liaison with parents and external agencies. This is a varied and rewarding role requiring excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing high-quality administrative and secretarial support to the SENDCo and SEN team.
Coordinating Annual Reviews and maintaining statutory SEND documentation.
Preparing and distributing correspondence, reports and meeting documentation.
Managing communication with parents, carers and external professionals.
Maintaining accurate student records, EHCP documentation and SEND support plans.
Updating and managing the SEN Register using Bromcom.
Coordinating external agency appointments and tracking associated actions.
Supporting transition arrangements for students moving from Year 6 into Year 7.
Producing reports and collating data using Bromcom.
Maintaining secure student records in accordance with GDPR requirements.
Coordinating Learning Support Assistant deployment timetables.
Monitoring departmental resources, stock and stationery.

Chiltern Hills Academy is a Church of England, co-educational secondary school in Chesham, Buckinghamshire. There are circa 1025 students on the school roll, approximately 100 of whom study in the sixth form. Chiltern Hills Academy converted to academy status in 2011 and is jointly sponsored by the Diocese of Oxford and Buckinghamshire County Council.
We are situated in the market town of Chesham, Buckinghamshire in the Chiltern Hills, designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Situated close to the M40 and the M25, Chesham is on the end of Metropolitan line of the London Underground and is 28 miles north-west of London. There is ample parking on-site. Renting here is cheaper than in central London and if you enjoy travelling, it takes about 40 minutes by car to Heathrow.
The Elgiva Theatre, Lowndes Park and an open-air heated swimming pool are just some of the many public amenities available in the town. Chesham is renowned for its community spirit and there are many recreational and community groups catering for the diverse and active population.
