About the role
Hob Moor Oaks is a well-respected Nursery to Year 6 special school. You will need the ability to develop creative strategies and ideas for maximising every child’s learning and development.
We are seeking to recruit an outstanding Class Teacher to join our dedicated team from September 2025, we are looking for a Class Teacher who strives for the best outcomes for all children and someone with knowledge and experience of working with children with SEND, with specific experience in working with children with Autism.
The successful applicant will be:
- A talented teacher with passion for supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) with experience in Autism.
- Able to foster a love of learning through creative, play-based experiences and a rich, enabling environment.
- Totally committed to and able to demonstrate excellent teaching** so that every child has the very best outcomes.
- Able to communicate effectively with parents, carers and other multi-agency professionals within meetings, EHCP paperwork and training events.
- Someone with vision, creativity, drive and enthusiasm who will contribute to the continued improvement of our school.
- Able to lead a team of teaching assistants to provide a specialized learning provision for children with SEND.
- Patient, resilient and empathetic; possessing a calm and understanding approach, even in challenging situations.
