SEN Learning Support Assistant - Alfred Sutton Primary School job summary

30 hours a week term time only. ‘Classrooms are typically studious and calm, and there is a harmonious atmosphere throughout the school. Pupils behave very well’ Ofsted January 2018. We wish to appoint two Learning Support Assistants to work in our friendly, supportive, multi cultural school. This position primarily involves working as a 1:1 support assistant for a pupil with SEND needs, helping them to access the classroom environment and curriculum, under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCo. Ideal candidates will: Have previous experience and enjoy working with children Be patient, enthusiastic and understanding Be skilled in working with children who display challenging behaviour in a therapeutic and nurturing manner.
