Fixed Term SEN Learning Support Assistant Apprentice

To predominately based within Captains Nest

£6.40 per hour

37 hours per week and 52 weeks per year

Fixed term for the duration of the Apprenticeship (Approximately 18 months to complete the Apprenticeship)

Fixed Term until June 2026

We are looking to appoint a caring, enthusiastic and highly motivated Learning Support Assistant Apprentice who will work under the direct supervision of a teacher to provide support for teaching and learning and associated activities in accordance with school policies and procedures. The successful candidate will also work towards achieving nationally recognised qualifications.

The role will be predominantly based within our SEMH Unit, but there will be opportunities to work within the mainstream school too.

There will be opportunities to take part in additional training to support your role including First Aid and Mappa/Team Teach training.

You will supported by experienced friendly staff in the unit, which can take up to 12 children from EYFS to Year 6.

Training Provided:

The responsibilities of the role are to support and engage with different parts of the organisation and interact with internal or external customers. With a focus on adding value, the role of business administrator contributes to the efficiency of an organisation. You will receive a blended method of learning including coach visits and attending workshops, working towards achieving nationally recognised qualifications.

It takes approximately 18 months to complete the Apprenticeship and you will receive a blended method of learning including Tutor Coach visits, remote learning and attending online workshops, working towards achieving nationally recognised qualifications in:

Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship

Level 2 Functional Skills Maths

Level 2 Functional Skills English
