What skills and experience we're looking for
You will play a pivotal role in supporting two KS2 children with SEND, both within the classroom and in tailored one-to-one or small group settings. Working closely with the class teacher, you will help facilitate learning, adapt teaching approaches as needed, and foster a positive environment where every child feels understood and valued. Your responsibilities will include assisting with the planning, preparation, and delivery of lesson content, preparing resources to support learning activities, and providing pastoral support to pupils. Additionally, you will contribute to evaluating student progress and provide feedback to the class teacher to ensure that all students’ learning needs are met. The post holder will work under the direction of the SENDCo to support the specific pupils in their learning.

Job requirements:
A minimum of 3 GCSEs at C grade or above, including English and Maths
Teaching Assistant qualification desirable
Experience of class supervision and assisting with lesson provision to achieve positive learning outcomes
Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work in tandem with teaching staff
Ability to be empathetic and understanding to the needs of students
