Actual salary
- Between £15,845 and £16,274 (includes outer fringe allowance)
What skills and experience we're looking for
You will need to:
- Have gained GCSE grade C or above in English and Maths
- Experience of working with children with SEND is desirable, e.g. NVQ in Learning Support, but full training for the specific position will be provided
- Be a positive, supportive and caring practitioner
- Have very high expectations for learning and behaviour
- Have the ability to work as part as a team, be flexible, solutions focused and good humoured
- Be knowledgeable of child development
- It is also desirable for you to have:
- Level 2 or 3 teaching assistant qualification
- At least 2 years of experience working in a school
- Experience of adapting the curriculum for pupils with SEND
- Knowledge of successful strategies to engage pupils with specific and significant needs
