• Job role:
  • Teaching assistant
• Visa sponsorship: Visas cannot be sponsored
• Key stage: Early years, Key stage 1, Key stage 2
• Working pattern: Part time (Can be done as a job share): Hours: 27.5 hours per week, term time only Monday to Friday
• Contract type: Fixed term - Ending 31/08/2025 subject to further SEN Funding
• Actual salary: Between £15,845 and £16,274 (includes outer fringe allowance)

What skills and experience we're looking for

You will need to:

• Have gained GCSE grade C or above in English and Maths
• Experience of working with children with SEND is desirable, e.g. NVQ in Learning Support, but full training for the specific position will be provided
• Be a positive, supportive and caring practitioner
• Have very high expectations for learning and behaviour
• Have the ability to work as part as a team, be flexible, solutions focused and good humoured
• Be knowledgeable of child development
• It is also desirable for you to have:
• Level 2 or 3 teaching assistant qualification
• At least 2 years of experience working in a school
• Experience of adapting the curriculum for pupils with SEND
• Knowledge of successful strategies to engage pupils with specific and significant needs
