SEN Officer job summary

SEN Officer
Term time plus 1 week

Are you passionate about making a difference to the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs? Consett Academy is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Officer to join our supportive and ambitious team.

Working closely with the SENCO, you will play a key role in supporting students with SEN to achieve their full potential. You will liaise with parents, carers and external agencies, contribute to the development and review of support plans and EHCPs, deliver targeted interventions, and help ensure that students receive the highest quality support both in and out of the classroom.

We are looking for someone with experience of working with children and young people with SEN, excellent communication and organisational skills, and a genuine commitment to inclusion and student success.

In return, we offer the opportunity to work within a dedicated team, ongoing professional development, and the chance to make a real difference to the educational journey of our students.

If you are committed to helping every child thrive, we would love to hear from you.

Please note that we operate a probationary period of 4 months across all jobs in the Trust (see attached policy for further details). You will receive a comprehensive induction to support you to successfully pass your probation.
