SEN PE and Swimming Teacher job summary

Riverside Bridge School is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN PE and Swimming Teacher to join our specialist SEND team. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference to the lives of children and young people with complex needs, from EYFS through to Post-16.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging, inclusive and highly adapted PE and swimming lessons that support pupils' physical development, communication, emotional wellbeing and preparation for adulthood. Swimming forms a significant part of this role, and applicants must hold a recognised Swimming Teacher qualification.

Working closely with therapists, class teams and families, you will help pupils develop confidence, resilience, physical literacy and independence through a broad range of physical activities. You will also play a key role in promoting a culture of health, wellbeing and participation across the school through enrichment activities, sports events and wider physical development opportunities.

We are looking for a qualified teacher who is passionate about inclusive education, committed to achieving the very best outcomes for pupils with SEND, and able to create positive, engaging learning experiences that celebrate every achievement.
