SEN Personal Care Support Worker job summary
We are seeking to appoint a self-motivated, flexible and enthusiastic SEN Personal Care Support Worker to be a member of our support staff.
General duties will be to work with teachers as part of a professional team to support teaching and learning for SEN pupils. Providing learning support to pupils who need particular help to overcome barriers to learning, such as those with moderate, severe, profound and multiple learning difficulties and/or behavioural, social, communication, sensory or physical disabilities. To assist pupils with their day to day personal care needs, their additional needs including changing, physical development programmes and to work alongside other professional staff to further pupils’ personal independence skills.
The successful candidate will have experience of working in an education and/or care setting and hold NVQ Level 2 in Teaching & Learning or equivalent and have knowledge of policies and procedures relevant to child protection and health and safety.
