SEN Specific Teaching Assistant job summary
SEN Specific Teaching Assistant Post
22.5 hours per week across 5 x mornings, 8:30am – 1.00pm, term time + 1 week
Fixed Term Contract until 31.8.2026, Scale D point 6.
We are looking for a dynamic and creative SEN Specific Teaching Assistant who is passionate about learning and the development of all children to become lifelong learners. You are ACE because:
You are positive and enthusiastic with an excellent ‘can-do’ attitude.
You have experience of working with SEND children and additional needs.
You have experience of working with pupils of varying abilities and ages.
Have a minimum qualification of NVQ Level Two Teaching Assistant. (Desirable)
You have good literacy and numeracy skills.
You can work well as part of a team.
You have good communication skills with adults and children.
Knowledge of Read Write Inc would be desirable.
You have a calm, consistent and caring approach to behaviour management.
You are confident when interacting across a range of age groups.
