SEN Specific Teaching Assistant job summary

SEN Specific Teaching Assistant Post

22.5 hours per week across 5 x mornings, 8:30am – 1.00pm, term time + 1 week

Fixed Term Contract until 31.8.2026, Scale D point 6.

We are looking for a dynamic and creative SEN Specific Teaching Assistant who is passionate about learning and the development of all children to become lifelong learners. We are excited to welcome you to join our team of positive and dedicated professionals who strive to be ACE in all that they do.

You are ACE because:

You are positive and enthusiastic with an excellent ‘can-do’ attitude.

You have experience of working with SEND children and additional needs.

You have experience of working with pupils of varying abilities and ages.

Have a minimum qualification of NVQ Level Two Teaching Assistant. (Desirable)

You have good literacy and numeracy skills.

You can work well as part of a team.

You have good communication skills with adults and children.

Knowledge of Read Write Inc would be desirable.

You have a calm, consistent and caring approach to behaviour management.

You are confident when interacting across a range of age groups.
