What skills and experience we're looking for
Are you an experienced and highly skilled teacher of children with complex SEND?
Do you want to teach in our new specialist base/ SEND unit for children with communication and interaction needs often associated with Autism?
Do you want to be part of a highly inclusive mainstream school where all children are challenged to be the very best they can be, and children with SEND are valued?
Required for September, to supplement our fantastic teaching team and specialist Inclusion staff, the Governors and Headteacher are seeking to appoint an outstanding specialist teacher with particular responsibility for the provision and progress of children with complex Special Educational Needs in one of our specialist base/ SEN unit classes.
The post is advertised as full-time and you will be responsible for ensuring the high-standard of provision in the specialist base classroom, working collaboratively with all staff and parents to aim for the very best for our children with complex additional needs.
We are looking for someone who:
- is an outstanding, dynamic and hard-working practitioner
- has an-depth knowledge, understanding and experience of teaching children and developing provision for children with special educational and additional needs
- is inspirational, motivated and can lead and support colleagues
- has an understanding of Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire SEND processes including HLN and EHCPs
