About the role
Our students benefit from a highly personalised curriculum, specialist resources, and a skilled, caring team dedicated to their success. As an innovative and creative class teacher at Drumbeat School, you will develop and maintain a high-quality educational environment for pupils with Autism.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver tailored, engaging lessons that meet individual students' learning needs and EHCP outcomes
- Set clear learning objectives and use Autism-specific practices to personalise work for individuals and groups
- Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and support staff to create holistic learning experiences
- Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and external agencies to support student progress
- Organise and maintain a stimulating classroom environment and ensure resources are available to promote learning
- Monitor and assess pupils’ progress, keeping accurate records and reporting achievement in line with school policy
