What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for a skilled and empathetic teacher to lead our new small-group provision for children with special educational needs. These pupils will spend a significant part of their week in the provision but also remain connected to their mainstream classes—joining their peers for parts of the day, some lunchtimes, and whole-school events.

What the school offers its staff

We offer:

• A well-resourced provision you can help shape from the ground up

• A supportive and inclusive staff team

• Dedicated leadership support and ongoing professional development

• A culture that celebrates every child’s uniqueness and potential

• A place where you can really make a difference!

Further details about the role

This is a 3 day a week role and you will be responsible for teaching a small class including children with complex special educational needs and planning for a further 2 days. You will be supported by an experienced and dedicated team of assistants and a non-teaching SENCo. You will design and deliver a creative, personalised curriculum while building strong, positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.

Commitment to safeguarding

Applicants will be required to demonstrate their commitment to promoting safeguarding the welfare of children in line with the school’s policies and procedures. A satisfactory Enhanced DBS disclosure is required for this role. After shortlisting and before interview references will be requested and online searches will be completed to confirm a candidate’s eligibility, and identify any potential safeguarding concerns or risks.
