SEN Teacher with Maths Specialism - Whole School Responsibility job summary

Riverside Bridge School is seeking a skilled and committed SEN Teacher with a specialism in Mathematics to take on a whole-school leadership role, supported by a TLR 2b. This is a unique opportunity to combine excellent classroom practice with strategic responsibility for shaping and strengthening Maths provision across a specialist SEND school.

The successful candidate will lead the development of an inclusive, progressive and developmentally appropriate Maths curriculum across pre-formal, semi-formal and formal pathways. Maths at Riverside Bridge is rooted in practical, functional and real-life learning, supporting pupils to develop independence, confidence and essential life skills. You will work closely with senior leaders, pathway leads and staff teams to ensure consistency, high expectations and strong outcomes for all learners.

Alongside teaching responsibilities, the role includes supporting and developing staff practice, leading Maths assessment and moderation, and contributing to school improvement priorities and inspection readiness. This post is well suited to an SEN teacher who is passionate about Maths, confident in leading others, and motivated to make a whole-school impact in a complex and rewarding specialist setting.
