SEN Teaching Assistant job summary
Truro and Penwith Academy Trust, together with Blackwater School, are seeking to appoint a dynamic and committed teaching assistant to support the special educational needs of key children in EYFS. Our EYFS provision is outstanding with a wonderful indoor and outdoor area, along with high quality teaching and opportunities for all.Blackwater CP School is in a beautiful, rural setting close to the city of Truro with excellent facilities and easy access to the most wonderful outdoor learning environments. We have a fantastic Wild Area where skills and knowledge are taught to support the children to become well-rounded and empathetic individuals. We practice Thrive as a way of supporting children understand their own social, emotional and mental health, empowering them to understand themselves and the world around them. About You:The position is a full time post, who will be part of the mixed Nursery and Reception team. You will have a child-centred approach, and will provide a creative, inclusive and challenging curriculum which inspires and motivates children and supports high quality teaching and learning both indoors and out. Individuals must demonstrate an understanding of high quality teaching and learning, as well as an understanding of how to support children with additional needs to enable them to learn effectively. We are an already flourishing and happy school with a strong community identity, we would like to appoint someone to add to this with their energy and passion for putting children at the centre.
