What we are looking for:

- Positive behaviour management with a therapeutic approach
- Willingness to work as part of a team
- ELSA/mental health first aid qualification/experience desirable, or willingness to undertake training
The right candidate will:
- Have a nurturing outlook and approach
- Plan, prepare and deliver high quality ELSA sessions for both groups and individuals
- Work with identified pupils to overcome barriers linked to anxiety, mental health,confidence and resilience
- Assess, record and report on development progress in emotional literacy and wellbeing to staff and parents
- Develop positive relationships with students,parents and staff
- Promote resilience, confidence and independence through positive routines,modelling and encouragement
- Have an ability to work using their own initiative
- Have a high level of communication skills and the ability to relate positively to children and adults and build trust
- Be resilient, adaptive and have good behaviour management
- Be a team player and work closely with other staff members within the school
- Have experience of working with children with SEN
- Have knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures

Able to deliver prepared lessons to cover staff absence
