SEN Teaching Assistant job summary

This role will require working with the class teacher to deliver outstanding inclusive practice to children with complex needs. This includes:

- Delivering interventions and support as outlined with a child’s EHCP (small group and 1:1)

- Planning and delivering other interventions e.g., speech and language, WellCom

- Sensory Circuits and other sensory support

- Encouraging inclusion in the classroom and the wider life of the school

- Foster positive relationships with families and work with them to support their child to be successful

- Work with outside agencies to implement their recommendations to support the development and inclusion of children with complex needs.

The role will be 32 hours per week, and will include supporting our Before and/or After School Club for 2 days each week. This will involve working as part of a small, supportive team to provide high-quality care and engaging activities for children outside of normal school hours. You will typically be required for Breakfast Club from 8:00am, and After School Club until 4.45pm, with occasional flexibility up to 6:00pm when needed. The role involves building positive relationships, promoting play-based learning, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all pupils during these sessions.
