Mithian School is a small, rural primary school on the north coast of Cornwall, offering a warm and welcoming environment with a strong sense of community.
We pride ourselves on our ‘family feel’, where children, staff and parents work together to create a nurturing and supportive setting. Our dedicated team provides a high-quality, inclusive education through a creative and engaging curriculum that inspires curiosity and a love of learning. We are committed to developing the whole child, encouraging resilience, independence and kindness alongside academic achievement.
Pupils benefit from a broad range of opportunities, including outdoor learning, enrichment activities and leadership roles. At Mithian, we aim for every child to feel safe, valued and confident, leaving us not only well prepared for the next stage of their education, but also with strong emotional foundations and lasting memories
We share an ethos which promotes high standards in academic achievement allied with a broad, stimulating, hands on curriculum. We celebrate and encourage the talents and skills of all of our children. Our aim is to foster independent and curious learners who are able and willing to make a positive contribution to our community and society.
About You:
The position is a full time post, who will be part of the mixed Nursery and Reception team.
You will have a child-centred approach, and will provide a creative, inclusive and challenging curriculum which inspires and motivates children and supports high quality teaching and learning both indoors and out. Individuals must demonstrate an understanding of high quality teaching and learning, as well as an understanding of how to support children with additional needs to enable them to learn effectively. We are an already flourishing and happy school with a strong community identity, we would like to appoint someone to add to this with their energy and passion for putting children at the centre.
