What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our friendly team, working with a child in Year 3 who has complex physical needs and hearing loss. This post will be based at Moor Allerton Hall Primary School, both in Year 3 and in our Deaf and Hearing Impaired Team (DAHIT) unit.

It is essential that you have a British Sign Language qualification (Level 1 or above), and your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivery of physiotherapy programmes
  • Completion of feeding routines using tube feeding
  • Completion of intimate care routines
  • Completion of moving and handling transfers
  • Delivery of personalised learning plans within the main classroom and DAHIT resourced provision

Training for feeding, intimate care and physiotherapy routines will be provided before the role commences, and you will be supported by the SENDCos, Lead Teacher for the Deaf and class teachers.
