Teaching Assistant  

Salary: Scale C/D (£16,757.31 to £17,022.13 p/a) Dependant on Experience 

Temporary until August 2027 

Part Time – 28.75 hrs per week 

Term Time + 1 week 


MSA 

Scale A (£1,376.43 p/a) 

Temporary until August 2027 

Part Time – 2.5 hrs per week 

Term Time Only 

 

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our excellent school, working within a Reception class and Year 3 class. The role will be split between supporting a cohort of children and working with a small group of children.  

 

We are looking for someone who: 

  • Has experience working with children. 
  • Has an understanding of children with additional needs. 
  • Has an adaptive, consistent and kind approach when supporting children to do their best. 
  • Has good standards of written oral English and Maths skills. 
  • Uses positive behaviour strategies following our school’s behaviour policy. 
  • Is energetic, committed and resilient 
  • Has a positive attitude, good sense of humour and has a ‘can do’ approach. 
  • Has the ability to work as a team: can liaise with the class teacher and SENDCO to ensure learning takes place at the appropriate level. 

 

The successful candidate must be available to work 08.30-15:15 Monday-Friday (28.75 hrs TA and 2.5 hrs MSA).

 

As a school, we are keen to support the future development of our teaching assistants, through regular CPD opportunities and a willingness to support candidates wishing to pursue a formal qualification and future career development.
