What skills and experience we're looking for
From Easter 2023, we are seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious SENCO to strategically lead, manage and promote whole school inclusion. The SENCO will ensure that the progress and development of students with SEND remains in line with their peers, adhering to the National Curriculum, SEN Code of Practice and school policies and procedures.
The ideal candidate will be an excellent teacher, with a proven track record of raising standards. In addition to being a qualified SENCO, the ideal candidate will also ideally be a qualified assessor for examination access arrangements. We are looking for someone withexcellent leadership and management skills, the ability to work as part of a team, and a commitment to raising student achievement and encouraging students to meet their full potential. The candidate will be accountable for monitoring, evaluating and supporting students achieve their targets, whilst ensuring that the necessary support is in place to meet their needs.
