What skills and experience we're looking for
The Trust is seeking to appoint a self-motivated and passionate SENCo for Alvaston Moor Academy. The successful applicant will be expected to be fully committed to developing the leadership of SEND within the Academy. This role sits as part of our extended leadership team and the expectation is that the post holder will be engaged and forthcoming with new ideas and initiatives.
The post holder will be responsible for providing strategic leadership for SEND at the school and implementing the SEND provision. This will include meeting all the statutory guidance, designing the SEND curriculum, liaising with families and key stakeholder to build relationships. They will also work alongside the SLT to monitor standards; deliver CPD; role model excellent practice; and deliver improvement in line with the Academy Development Plan. They will work hard to ensure that all children in the school excel from whatever their starting point, and will be fully committed to going above and beyond to ensure our students receive the very best in terms of opportunity, education and care.
