What skills and experience we're looking for
The Wellington Lions Primary Academy are seeking to recruit a highly motivated and qualified individual to fill the role of full-time teacher/SENDCo in our school. This role will involve a part-teaching teaching commitment in the mornings, and in the afternoons, the successful candidate will take on the role of SENDCo with responsibility for co-ordinating the provision for our special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) pupils. This role will include responsibility for overseeing looked after children.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed SENCo and Class Teacher to join our team who has:
- A minimum of 5 years teaching experience (preferably across primary phases)
- Relevant professional qualifications suitable to a primary setting
- Experience of conducting training/leading INSET.
- Be an exceptional classroom practitioner with a clear understanding of what makes ‘quality first’ teaching, and effective intervention strategies.
- Can bring warmth and positivity to our school
