What skills and experience we're looking for
Boothville Primary is a large three form entry primary school with our own nursery. This is an exciting opportunity for you to join the school as a SENCOworking with our experienced Senior Leadership Team. This role would suit someone who is experienced within the field of SEND, who wants to continue to make an impact on raising standards and the quality of experience for our children with SEND.
You will be non-class based, with your own office, working with a supportive Senior Leadership Team, which comprises our Headteacher and two Assistant Heads. You will take on responsibility for ensuring that children with Special Educational Needs and vulnerable groups are supported appropriately. You will manage co-ordination of provision, SEN administration, liaise with outside agencies and staff to continue the vision and drive standards of teaching, learning and behaviour.
We are seeking a SENCO who is:
- Friendly and approachable with excellent communication skills and a passion for supporting children with varying additional needs
- Experienced in school improvement with a proven track record of success in continuing to develop systems, able to lead, motivate, inspire and challenge
- Organised and diligent, resilient and able to prioritise workload to meet deadlines
- Able to lead the strategic development of SEND policy and provision to ensure quality provision for all pupils
- Able to have a strategic overview of provision for pupils with SEND across the school, monitoring and reviewing the quality of provision, managing EHCP annual reviews and requests for statutory assessment
- Dynamic and enthusiastic with the vision and energy to help continue to lead to ensure the best outcomes for children
This is a full time permanent position. The closing date is Monday, 20 May 2024 at 4pm. Interviews will take place on Thursday 23 May 2024.
