SENCo with Class Teacher responsibilities

Payscale: Mainscale (+ SEN allowance £2,539 pro rata)

Commencing: September 2024

Ermine Street Church Academy has an exciting opportunity for a committed SENCo (3 days) /Class Teacher (2 days) to join a vibrant team of enthusiastic, hardworking individuals. We would love you to take your place with us in this fantastic role!

The successful candidate will benefit from a comprehensive CPD programme including SENCo induction sessions where they will make the most of a wide range of support from the SENCo Community. This professional network collaborate regularly online and in person at SEND surgeries, SENCo forums and by visiting each others' schools to develop best practice across the trust.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally:

Have experience of working as a Class Teacher and SENCo in a primary school

Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people

Be enthusiastic, ambitious and serious about improving children’s life chances through education

Be highly organised, conscientious and able to set clear priorities when managing a busy workload

Be able work cooperatively and communicate clearly with fellow colleagues, parents and pupils

Have a ‘can-do’ attitude and has the ability to use their initiative

Be able to work flexibly and professionally

We are looking for an experienced SENCo with Class Teacher responsibilities to join our team. The purpose of this role is to work alongside colleagues in planning, preparing and supporting the teaching and learning of all pupils in your care.
