What skills and experience we're looking for

Our federation of schools is looking to appoint an experienced SENCO to join its committed staff to ensure the pupils with additional needs and disadvantaged backgrounds are well supported and have first class provision, to enable them to make great progress. We are a pair of schools who has higher than average level of need. We are working hard to meet the needs through the graduated response tool and close working with outside agencies. Due to levels of need and staff re-structuring we require a dedicated SENCO to ensure this core role and provision is fully met.

Staff work hard to meet their responsibilities and implement all they are required. We look forward to having a person to lead this area of out provision with focus and clarity. Working across the federation gives scope to share good practise and develop provision and expertise within each school.

If you can demonstrate skills in leading staff, working effectively with external agencies, parents and pupils, have knowledge of specific assessments to identify needs in the realms of dyslexia, speech and language and emotional well-being, ASD and SEMH that, in turn, will enable provision to meet need to maximise pupil progress, then we would like to hear from you.

What the school offers its staff

Staff benefit from a supportive atmosphere and team.

Commitment to safeguarding

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. All successful candidates will be required to undergo a DBS Disclosure check and references will be taken up prior to interview. We also expect all members of staff to complete a Childcare Disqualification Declaration.
