University Academy Long Sutton is a popular 11 -16 Academy in the rural market town of Long Sutton, and is part of The Lincolnshire Educational Trust. This may bring the opportunity to work across 2 sites.
The SENCO is a key leader in the Academy and has a critical role in raising standards of attainment for all SEND learners, both academically and pastorally, to ensure that we provide a quality education for all pupils regardless of their ability.
The SENCO also has a responsibility for LAC pupils which is a small but growing number. Therefore, the role will require the successful candidate to liaise with numerous outside agencies. At present the SENCO manages 11 Teaching Assistants and has a part time SEND Administrative Assistant.
The successful candidate will benefit from:
• full support from Senior Leadership Team and induction
• a strong and caring ethos among staff and pupils
• excellent collaboration between SENCOs across the Trust
• opportunity to engage in CPD opportunities within the two Teaching schools we work with.
This role requires the successful candidate to teach 65% of a timetable. There is no pre requisite of what subjects they are able to teach.
