What skills and experience we're looking for

  • We are looking for a SENCo who:
  • Has QTS and significant experience supporting pupils with a broad range of SEND
  • Brings deep expertise in neurodiversity including autism, ADHD, sensory needs and communication differences
  • Holds the National Award for SEN Coordination (or is working towards it)
  • Understands how to embed adaptive, inclusive teaching across the school
  • Leads early identification, assessment and intervention with precision
  • Builds strong, trusting relationships with families and external agencies
  • Uses evidence, data and reflective practice to drive improvement
  • Is proactive, organised and able to influence whole-school culture

We are particularly looking for someone with a strong working knowledge of special educational needs, who understands how to create environments and approaches that enable all learners to access the curriculum and experience success.
