SENCO job summary

Are you passionate about inclusion and ensuring every child can thrive?

Do you build trust, nurture relationships and champion children’s needs?

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SENCO to join our nurturing and supportive team, working across our two small, welcoming Church of England infant and nursery schools. The post is available as soon as possible due to a change in role for the current SENCO. However, we are happy to wait for the right person.

We’re looking for someone who can:

Lead and coordinate SEND provision across both schools

Support children with a range of additional needs, including SEMH

Build strong, trusting relationships with children and their families

Work effectively with staff, external agencies and professionals

Promote inclusive, high-quality teaching and early intervention

Monitor and evaluate the impact of SEND provision

Model high expectations with warmth, care and consistency

Bring energy, resilience and a child-centred approach

Support and uphold our Christian values and ethos

In return, we offer:

Wonderful children who are a delight to work with

Two nurturing school communities built on strong, caring relationships

A supportive leadership team committed to your development

The opportunity to make a real difference for our most vulnerable pupils

The support of colleagues across the Southwell and Nottingham Multi Academy Trust

A community where your work truly matters

If you’re committed to helping every child feel safe, included and ready to learn, this could be the perfect next step for you.

Visits to our schools are warmly welcomed, and prospective candidates are very welcome to arrange a visit with the Headteacher if they wish.
