SENCO/ Teacher (0.4/0.6) job summary

Layer -de-la-Haye Primary school are looking to appoint a talented and inspirational SENCO/Teacher (0.4/0.6) , to join our hard-working team. ( the successful candidate will take on a full time position with responsibility for SEND 40% and Class teacher 60%) The successful candidate will: • Be an excellent classroom practitioner • Hold the National SENCO award (or be willing to train to achieve this) • Have an understanding, knowledge and experience of how to support pupils with Autism, ADHD and those with medical needs. • Have a shared responsibility for the planning, teaching and assessment of a class • Have high expectations of achievement and behaviour • Show a commitment for the school’s vision and its promotion of the Gospel Values • Demonstrate an understanding of Assessment For Learning techniques and the Growth Mindset culture • Be motivated by their work and strive to further their own professional development • Be committed to the safeguarding of all children
