Contract: Full-time, Permanent 


Salary: MPR/UPR (FTE: £32,916 - £51,048 per annum) + SEN Allowance SENCO (a) (£2,787 per annum)


Start date: September 2026


Steeple Bumpstead Primary School is a welcoming, one-form entry village school located close to Haverhill, with just under 200 pupils on roll. We are proud of our close-knit community, positive ethos and strong commitment to inclusion. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed SENCO and class teacher to join our team from September 2026. This is a balanced role, with three days per week in the classroom and two days per week as SENCO.


We are looking for someone who:


• Has a strong background knowledge and a wide range of experience in SEND


• Is passionate about inclusion and securing the very best outcomes for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities


• Has the skills and confidence to support colleagues effectively


• Demonstrates excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills


• Holds the national SENCO award or is willing to undertake the qualification


• Is an excellent classroom practitioner with high expectations for all learners
