SEND and Pastoral Administrator
Salary: £26,824 - £28,142 per annum, pro rata to £23,278 - £24,422 per annum, term time only.
Contract Type: Permanent, Term Time Only
Hours: 37 per week
The Forest High School is seeking a highly organised, professional and compassionate SEND and Pastoral Administrator to join our dedicated team. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in supporting some of our most vulnerable students and helping ensure that our SEND, attendance, safeguarding and pastoral systems operate effectively and efficiently.
The successful candidate will be a key point of contact for staff, parents, carers and external agencies, providing exceptional administrative support whilst helping to coordinate vital interventions that make a real difference to young people's lives.
This varied and rewarding role sits at the heart of our Inclusion Team and combines responsibilities across SEND, attendance, behaviour, safeguarding and student welfare.
The successful candidate will:
- Coordinate the EHCP Annual Review process, including meeting organisation, minute-taking, and ensuring statutory deadlines are met.
- Maintain accurate SEND records and provide administrative support to the SENCo.
- Support attendance monitoring, intervention processes, and the production of attendance reports and referrals.
- Coordinate Attendance Intervention Meetings (AIMs) and Fixed Penalty Notice referrals where appropriate.
- Work collaboratively with families and external agencies to improve student attendance and outcomes.
- Administer behaviour systems, maintain records, and coordinate suspension and reintegration processes.
- Support pastoral leaders through intervention tracking, reporting, and the production of behaviour and pastoral data.
- Provide safeguarding administration, maintain confidential records, support referrals and multi-agency work, and fulfil duties as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL).
- Support student welfare, inclusion, medical plans, risk assessments, alternative provision, and transition arrangements.
- Provide wider school administration support, including examinations, invigilation, First Aid responsibilities, and operational assistance during peak periods.
