SEND Behaviour Learning Mentor job summary
We are seeking a dedicated and committed Behaviour Learning Mentor to provide targeted, evidence-based support for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The successful candidate will ensure students are supported with their emotional wellbeing, behaviour and to support them with their re-engagement with learning.
The role involves delivering structured, evidence-based interventions, tailored to individual SEND needs, with a focus on emotional regulation, social skills and behaviour strategies. This includes implementing SEMH approaches such as Zones of Regulation, emotion coaching and CBT-based techniques.
What we are looking for;
- Experience of working in a busy, fast paced environment
- Significant experience of working with children, i.e voluntary/paid work in schools, playgroups etc
- Experience of supporting a range of student behaviours
- Experience of working with children with SEND, particularly SEMH needs.
This role is permanent. 37 hours per week x 39 weeks per annum.
