Do you want to make a lasting impact on the development of a new primary specialist support base?
The Cabin at William Leech is growing! And as part of the new phase, we are looking for an experienced SEND Teacher to join the team in January and be responsible for the effective teaching, learning and well-being of pupils with complex needs. The ideal candidate will have a passion for meeting the needs of children who have experienced a challenging start to their young lives.
This is a rare opportunity to help build and shape a bespoke learning environment and curriculum that cares for and supports children with additional needs, ensuring they receive the personalised support that they need to thrive and make progress in learning.
The Cabin at William Leech provides a bespoke curriculum that meets children’s individual needs, small class sizes to ensure a sense of safety and wellbeing, and a trauma informed approach that requires all staff to be trained to respond to the children and families’ individual needs.
If you would like to visit The Cabin, there is an opportunity to do so on Monday 21st September at 3:30pm, please contact the school directly to arrange this.
Shortlisted candidates will be asked to take part in a lesson observation at their current school, then interviews will be offered following a successful observation.
Alongside a meaningful teaching career in a nurturing specialist support base, the Trust offers the following benefits
- An excellent pension scheme with a generous employer contribution from the Trust.
- 24/7 access to our Employee Assistance Programme, providing confidential wellbeing and support services.
- Comprehensive mental health and wellbeing support for all staff through Dittolo.
- Access to The Nest, our childcare provision in Ashington and Newbiggin-by-the-Sea, offering both paid and free 30-hour places for eligible families.
- CPD opportunities with support from across the Trust.
- Gym membership discounts, with reduced rates at Sculpt Ashington and Places Leisure.
- Eligibility for a Blue Light Card, giving Trust staff exclusive discounts at major retailers including Apple, JD Sports and TUI.
Are you ready to teach and help shape the future lives of our vulnerable children with additional needs? We look forward to receiving your application!
