Brackenhill Primary School is welcoming applications for a HLTA with specific knowledge and experience in working with children with additional SEND needs to join our inclusive and friendly school.
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated person who can work effectively to meet SEND needs of pupils within our school. They will hold high expectations for all children and believe in planning, teaching and delivering a stimulating, creative curriculum which is effectively adapted to meet the specific needs of individuals with SEND. They will provide a higher level of teaching and learning under the direction of the SENDCO for a group of pupils with SEND.
We are looking for candidates who:
- Either qualified to HLTA level or cover supervisor and willing to immediately train to be HLTA.
- Are skilled at developing and maintaining positive relationships with pupils, parents, staff and other professionals
- Have proven success at working with pupils with SEND
- Help pupils to access learning activities through specialist support
- Are dynamic, creative and proactive, modelling outstanding practice
- Are committed to achieving success through partnership and team work
- Have an ambition to make a difference for our pupils
- Lead learning and activities as agreed by the SENDCO
- Use strategies, in liaison with the SENDCO, to support pupils achieve learning outcomes
- Administer and assess routine assessments as guided by the SENDCO
- Are professional and child-focussed
- Have excellent communication skills
- Are keen to further their skills by accessing training and CPD
