SEND HLTA job summary

Lavender Primary School has a big heart. We take immense pride in taking care of our community and providing a warm, welcoming, and safe place of learning. Our deeply rooted values of respect, care, honesty, responsibility, appreciation, and determination serve as the moral compass for our vibrant, diverse, and inclusive community.

We believe that every child is capable of great things. We are ambitious for our pupils and are dedicated to unlocking their potential by removing ceilings on achievement and relentlessly focusing on progress. Our inclusive approach ensures that all pupils with SEND don't just participate—they thrive.

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate, adaptable, and highly skilled SEND HLTA to join our dedicated SEND team. In this role, you will work under the guidance of our SENDCo to plan, implement, and deliver tailored, creative provision for individuals and small groups. You will be instrumental in helping pupils overcome barriers to learning (including physical, emotional, and behavioural difficulties).

We want an individual who can cultivate a growth mindset in our learners, encouraging them to 'have a go' and build the resilience needed to see mistakes as learning opportunities. If you have a calm, patient demeanour and a fierce commitment to helping young people reach beyond their horizons, we would love to hear from you. For further details about the post, please view the candidate pack attached.

To arrange a visit, or if you would like to have an informal discussion about the post, you are most welcome to call Jodie Corbett, headteacher on 0208 363 1058.
