• Working pattern: Full time, part time (Can be done as a job share): 32.5 hours per week with 30 minute lunchbreak 38 weeks per year (term time only), with compulsory training days based on the need of the school.
• Contract type: Fixed term - Initially for 12 month with possibility of extension beyond this
• Pay scale: NJC Payscale Grade 3, point4-6

What skills and experience we're looking for

We currently have a vacancy for a highly motivated Learning Support Assistant to provide learning and care support for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in class, in small groups or 1:1. We are looking for a candidate who will:

• Provide learning and care support for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in class, in small groups or 1:1.
• Be the Designated Adult for named children.
• Work with the teacher to plan and deliver activities.
• Support children with routines, transitions and behaviour management including successful entry into school in the morning.
• Responsible for supervising children and leading activities during the lunch break to ensure that the break runs effectively and that the safety and welfare of children is maintained.

Combs Ford Primary School is a member of the Children’s Endeavour Trust – a Multi Academy Trust currently formed of eight schools located in Ipswich and Stowmarket. The MAT was established in 2019 and is responsible for approximately 3000 pupils. We work closely with the other schools within the MAT to achieve excellence through collaboration.
