We are seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic and reliable Midday Supervisor to join our dedicated team, supporting children within our Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Unit during lunchtime periods.
This is a highly rewarding role for someone who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and playing with children whilst also helping them enjoy a positive and safe lunchtime experience.
The RoleAs a Midday Supervisor, you will:
- Support pupils within the SEND Unit during lunchtime.
- Help children develop independence, communication and social skills.
- Support pupils with a range of additional needs
- Encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation using agreed school strategies.
- Assist with eating, personal care and hygiene routines where required.
- Promote engaging and inclusive play activities.
- Ensure the safety, wellbeing and happiness of all children at all times.
- Work closely with teachers, SEND staff and senior leaders to provide consistent support.
- Has experience working with children with SEND, ideally within a school, specialist setting or childcare environment.
- Demonstrates patience, empathy and understanding.
- Can build positive relationships with children
- Is calm and resilient when supporting children with complex needs.
- Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Shares our commitment to inclusion and child-centred practice.
- Understands the importance of safeguarding and promoting children's welfare.
