This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic administrator who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has excellent communication and organisational skills, and is committed to ensuring positive outcomes for children and families.

About the Role

Reporting to the SENCO, you will play a key role in administering and maintaining SEND records, supporting Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) processes, and providing administrative support across the wider school office. The successful candidate will use initiative, problem-solving skills and attention to detail to deliver efficient administrative services while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

The Role is Monday - Friday, Term Time only plus Training days - 8am - 4pm

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and administer the annual review process for EHCPs, including managing review schedules, preparing documentation, and liaising with parents and external professionals.
  • Maintain accurate SEND records across school management information systems and ensure documentation is stored and archived in line with the school's Records Management Policy.
  • Liaise with educational, health and other external professionals to ensure reports, documentation and communications are shared appropriately and securely.
  • Prepare and distribute parent communications using school systems, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality and excellent customer service.
  • Support the admissions process for both the main school and resourced provision, including preparing admission packs and assisting with consultations and pre-admission arrangements.
  • Conduct pupil observations and provide administrative support to the SEND team.
  • Provide support to the wider school office and act as cover for the Receptionist when required.
  • Support SEND pupils during the lunch hour
  • Identify opportunities to improve administrative processes and contribute to the continued development of efficient working practices.
The Successful Candidate Will Have
  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Experience of handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Good IT skills and confidence using databases and management information systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with parents, staff and external agencies.
  • The ability to prioritise workloads, manage competing deadlines and solve problems independently.
  • A flexible and proactive approach to work, with a commitment to supporting the needs of children and families.
