SEND Resoure Provision Teaching Assistant job summary

About this Role

We are looking to recruit a Specialist SEND Teaching Assistant to support in our new specialist resource provision opening in September 2025.

This is an exciting opportunity for a teaching assistant passionate about SEND to come and work with children in our school with additional needs. The resource base will support 8 pupils with communication and interaction needs (ASD) all of which have EHCPs.

We are looking for a teaching assistant who is nurturing and has the skill set and expertise to support in a way that matches the children's needs in the resource provision.

As the resource base is a new provision in school, this will be an opportunity to be part of a new team that you can grow and develop.

We are looking for a teaching assistant who:

Has a proven ability to support pupils with Communication and Interaction (ASD) needs effectively through the use of dynamic & engaging techniques.

Can share ideas for the adjustment of learning to enable pupils to access the learning effectively.

To build effective trusting relationships with staff, pupils, parents and external agencies.
