About the Role
As a SEND Teacher at Southfield, you will:
- Deliver creative, engaging and personalised learning for pupils with complex needs
- Create a nurturing classroom environment where every child can succeed
- Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, families and external professionals
- Track, assess and celebrate pupil progress and development
- Contribute to the wider life, vision and continuous improvement of the school
You will play a key role in helping pupils develop confidence, independence, communication skills and a love of learning.

- Is passionate about inclusive education and enabling every child to reach their potential
- Demonstrates strong classroom practice and behaviour management
- Is resilient, reflective and nurturing in their approach
- Enjoys working as part of a committed and supportive team
- Has high expectations for themselves and their pupils
- Can deliver a commitment to SEND and inclusive practice
- Desirables would include experience working with autism and complex needs and knowledge of strategies such as TEACCH, Makaton or sensory approaches
