Are you passionate about Special Educational Needs? Are you looking for an exciting career development opportunity? Would you like the opportunity to be part of our highly commended ‘Rashford’ Enhanced Pathway Provision? ‘Pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) get what they need. Leaders use robust systems to identify and meet pupils’ needs. Strategically, leaders have set up their own bespoke enhanced provision within the school. It provides therapeutic and targeted support for some pupils. Parents speak highly of this work as they feel it has transformed the education for these pupils. Leaders are clear that everyone learns the same curriculum. There is always the focus on getting any pupil back into class. If a pupil requires intensive therapy, leaders can access remotely what is taught in the lesson. This means pupils do not miss out on learning.’ (Orchard Meadow OFSTED, June 2022).
‘The school is highly inclusive. Every pupil is valued and well supported to participate fully in all aspects of school life. Leaders make sure that all pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) have their needs quickly identified and considered. The specially resourced provision for pupils with SEND (known as The Rashford Family) supports some pupils who may struggle with some aspects of mainstream education. Attendees have education, health and care (EHC) plans and receive tailored and effective support to help them when back in class.’ (Pegasus School OFSTED, May 2023).
Our Rashford Family is part of Orchard Meadow School which is a vibrant and inclusive city school that has a positive, diverse community and a determination that all children will succeed. Our children are energetic, keen to learn and enjoy being challenged. Our Enhanced Provision supports children with significant special educational needs from across three local United Learning schools.
We are looking for someone with energy, enthusiasm and a hard-working ethos to join our Rashford Team as a maternity cover position.
