Job Title: SEND Teacher - Secondary
Location: Venturers’ Academy, Bristol

As a vibrant, inclusive specialist academy supporting students with autism and complex needs, we are committed to delivering personalised learning experiences that unlock potential, build confidence and enable every student to achieve more than they ever thought possible. Key responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality teaching and learning for secondary-aged students with autism and complex needs, ensuring all learners make strong academic, personal and social progress.
- Plan and deliver engaging, personalised lessons that meet the diverse needs, abilities and EHCP outcomes of individual students.
- Create a safe, nurturing and inclusive classroom environment where students feel valued, supported and empowered to succeed.
- Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, families and external agencies to provide a holistic approach to student development and achievement.
- Use effective assessment strategies to monitor progress, identify next steps and adapt teaching to maximise outcomes for all learners.
Pay range:
- M1 - U3 plus SEND allowance - £36,954.00 - £55,720.00
- 32.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

Qualifications and Skills:
- Qualified Teacher Status (or recognised equivalent)
- Experience of teaching students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), particularly those with autism and/or complex needs.
- Strong understanding of SEND legislation, inclusive teaching practices and EHCP processes.
- Ability to adapt curriculum content and teaching strategies to meet a wide range of learning needs and abilities.
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create a calm, structured and positive learning environment.
