Further details about the role
The Area
Abbey Meads is one of the ‘urban villages’ in the northern development of Swindon. The housing is predominantly owner occupied with some social housing provision. The school is located near Abbey Meads Village Centre and other community facilities.

The town’s railway heritage has been commemorated in ‘Steam’, a national railway heritage museum. This is located in part of the old railway works buildings. Other parts of the railway works house a large retail ‘outlet village’. The urban environment is complemented by the surrounding countryside with the Ridgeway and the Cotswolds being close by.
