We are looking for an enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs to flourish in a nurturing and inclusive environment. Working closely with teachers and SENCOs, you will play a vital role in providing tailored support that enables pupils with special educational needs and disabilities to thrive academically, socially and emotionally. Key responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), enabling them to access learning and achieve their full potential.
- Work closely with class teachers, the SENCO and other professionals to implement individual education plans (IEPs), EHCP targets and personalised support strategies.
- Deliver targeted interventions and structured learning activities to individuals and small groups.
- Support pupils' social, emotional and behavioural development, promoting confidence, independence and positive relationships.
- Adapt resources and learning activities to meet the diverse needs of pupils and remove barriers to learning.
Pay range:
- SCP 5 - 7: £22,500.85 - £23,222.06
- FTE: £25,583.00 - £26,403.00
- 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year
- Permanent
Qualifications and Skills:
- GCSE C/4 Maths and English (or equivalent)
- A genuine passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, parents and external professionals.
- The ability to adapt learning activities and resources to meet individual pupil needs.
- Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to support pupils in developing positive learning behaviours.
