About the Role:

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) on a 1:1 basis and/or within small groups.

  • Work under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO to deliver targeted interventions.

  • Assist in adapting learning materials and activities to meet individual needs.

  • Promote inclusion, independence, and positive behaviour.

  • Foster a caring and supportive learning environment.

What We’re Looking For:

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is kind, patient, and committed to supporting children with a range of needs.
  • Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Can follow guidance but also use initiative to support learning and wellbeing.
  • Has experience of working with children, ideally in a school setting.
  • Holds or is willing to work towards an appropriate TA qualification (e.g. Level 1 or equivalent).

Role:

SEND Teaching Assistant Level 1 (32.5 hrs, Term Time only, fixed term contract until 17.07.2026)
