Working pattern

Part time: SEN/D Teaching Assistant, part time: 16 hours and 15 minutes per week (8:45am – 12pm Monday – Friday) Plus 5 hours (12pm- 1pm Monday - Friday) p/w as Lunchtime Supervisory Assistant There is also the opportunity to extend the role to include Breakfast Club Assistant, part time: 4 hours and 30 minutes per week (Monday, Tuesday and Friday 7:15am – 8:45am).

Fixed term - 31st August 2026 ( may be extended- role attached to funding)

Pay scale

B1- Scale point 4-6, Scale point 2 (lunchtime assistant)

What skills and experience we're looking for

We wish to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated, caring and committed SEN/D Assistant, join our dedicated and hardworking team. Applicants should have good English and Maths skills, be effective communicators and have excellent organisational skills. Experience of supporting young children with SEN/D is preferred.

The successful candidate will create and maintain effective partnerships with parents, carers and the wider community to support and improve pupils’ achievement and personal development. Pool CE Primary School is committed to the professional development of all staff.
